Industry minister sees grounds to cut aluminum export duties

VLADIVOSTOK, Sep 2 (PRIME) -- The Industry and Trade Ministry sees grounds to reduce export duties on cast iron, ferrous alloys and aluminum, Minister Denis Manturov said on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum on Thursday.

"There are reasons to revise (the duties) for some product names. At least, for cast iron, ferrous alloys and aluminum," Manturov said.

He said that the Industry and Trade Ministry was in negotiations with the other ministries to find a middle ground on the issue. A decision can be made at the end of 2021. No duty is envisaged for 2022 so far.
